Standard approach is parallel running: build the new infrastructure alongside the old, replicate data, gradually shift traffic over, then decommission the old setup. The exact approach depends on your stack and acceptable risk tolerance. We've done these between AWS and GCP, between traditional hosting and DigitalOcean, and on-prem to cloud.

No. Kubernetes is excellent for the right workloads — typically applications with multiple services, variable load, and teams that can maintain it. For smaller setups, it's overkill. We'll recommend it where it makes sense (and tell you when it doesn't). Some clients run perfectly well on managed services, container platforms like ECS or Cloud Run, or even straightforward VMs.
